Hi All
You will be pleased to know that GOYH have agreed the following changes to our
target outputs:
Outputs Original Revised
1. Strategic Partnerships formed 3 2
2. New Jobs 20 11
3. SME Introducing new ICT 50 27
4. Jobs safeguarded 40 22
5. SMEs reporting an increase in productivity 30 16
You will notice that the reduction is not exactly 50%, but it is line with a
budget reduction of 48%.
With Jenny, I am in the process of writing the letters that we need for SMEs to
sign to evidence outputs 3,4,5. Nick Hughes from the RBDO is helping with this
so that we get the form of words suitable for GOYH.
We are also agreeing the evidence needed for strategic partnerships. Kirsty is
working on one of these at the moment and I will get the RBDO to check this. By
the way, a strategic partner does not have to be a SME, so all the work we are
doing with CIBS and CIDA for instance helps.
Any record of time spent with potential strategic partners - minutes of
meetings, agreements etc. should be kept so that we can use it as evidence. If
we need to retrospectively get the records straight then do it, or talk to me.
The more evidence the better!!! Nick advises that we may be able to trade
outputs under one heading for others under other headings. Thus, if we get
more than the target for strategic partnerships we can use this to trade
against any other targets we may fall short on. Of course, we don't want to
fall short on any!!
For output 2 (New Jobs), we will need a copy of the employment contract or a
letter from the organisation concerned stating the job details and name etc. I
will get an agreed draft for this as well, since it may be easier to get a SME
to use something we give them rather than get them to generate work for
themselves.
Any queries, please get in touch.
