Although the snap server is a great device it requires too much manual
intervention to copy the entire CD or DVD across the network. It's not a
really plug and play CD/DVD solution.
We use both Snaps and a storpoint in its Meridian-Data XP Cache guise
internally here.
Also a fair number of CD and DVD titles don't work as well as they would in
the storpoint engine. It may be of interest to note that Snapserver was
developed by Meridian-Data (the original pioneers of the CD server) and they
were still shipping their Universal XP Cache CD Server using an Axis engine
along with the snap server prior to their buyout by Quantum.
