I have a note on my desk between you and Charles Emerson about CD Towers.
It may be old but here goes. Please copy Charles Emerson at Emerson
College Library (Boston), I didn't have his Email address.

Here at New York Military Academy (NYMA) we puchased a 75 CD cdtower
several yeas ago at a cost of over $7,000.00.
This system is now no longer supported. It uses a hacked version of
Netware and is not upgradeble and came from a French Company..
It looked good when we bought it but was very hard to configure but has
worked fine for 2 years after we got it running. But it old hacked version
of Netware is now incompatible

Last mounth we built our own CD Tower. Twin processor 450mh PII,s with
twin SCSI U160 18 gig hard drives. This system is more power full than
our
custom box and has about the same capacity in CD's. We used Novell Netware
version 6. And now have version control. We can also limit access by
using licencing software built into Netware. This server was an old one
and the 2 SCSI drives cost under $200.00.
We used Novell because we have an educational licencing agreement with
Novell done by our local BOCES.(ouboces.org), all Novell software,
unlimited users, unlimited servers for $1,000.00 a year. Novell, once
configured is extremely stable and never needs rebooting, real (24/7).

Hope this helps.
