I attended the Creative Yorkshire Steering Group meeting in Dewsbury yesterday.
It was very interesting from many points of view, and there were several points
at which it was apparent how important the MO services are going to be for the
sector.
We identified one particular job which we can do for the Creative Industries
Support Services (in support of Yorkshire Arts etc..). This will make use of
the registration info. we gather.
Although this sort of work won't necessarily create outputs directly, it will
show the usefulness our search mechanisms.
We will establish the requirements for this in the near future.
Jay and Ian tell me that the marketing site is at an advanced stage and should
be ready for launch soon. The MO site itself should begin to rapidly develop
next week.
Karen and I are in discussion with B.TV about a possible contribution from them
on convergance - watch this space.
Media-Tech inform me that we can count 66 of the attendees at the recent 1st.
Thursday event towards our outputs.
Other things are happening a rapid pace, but we do need to make sure that the
SME contacts are being registered properly. We need a review of this soon.
