Speaking as a distributor of the DiscZerver product, I can confirm that
certain CD-ROM titles will not work from images on the Zerver. This can
be for any number of reasons. Here are few suggestions:
1. Try individual share
2. Try a non-compressed image
3. Try installing from the real CD and then "fixing" the install to
look at the image (works with Caravan software)
4. Speak to the CD vendor and get them to sort out their software (yes
I have done this successfully!)
5. Use Virtual CD or similar product to pretend thaty the CD is really
on the desktop. As Virtual CD was written with
the games market in mind, it can usually overcome copy protection
problems and if not, H+H zfrk, who write Virtual CD
would be interested in looking at the CD in question to make it
work. www.virtualcd-online.com
On the subject of Metering Software, I did post to Greg, but here it is
again - NetMan www.hh-netman.de/index.html
NetMan is also compatible with Virtual CD.
